I’ve been using this extension for a few years and I absolutely love it! Saves me so much time with emails, filling out forms and general text templates. And they’re support team is lovely and incredibly helpful!

I love text expander. I am an English professor, and I use this tool constantly for grading. I have hundreds of shortcuts that save me so much time from typing the same thing over and over again. Have a problem with topic sentences? I just type “topsen,” and voila! This text appears: The first sentence of each body paragraph is the topic sentence. Every sentence in the paragraph needs to relate directly to the topic sentences. This practice was not always present in your essay. A way to prevent this problem–when you proofread your essay, read each body paragraph without the first sentence. Summarize the paragraph in your own words in one sentence. Does it basically match the first sentence you wrote? If not, change the topic sentence! It’s sometimes much easier to change the topic sentence than it is to rewrite the paragraph. I would not want to grade papers without text expander. It is a vital, wonderful, and FREE program!

Can’t complain - Been using this for over 2 years! Glad its back since it got flagged as malware - which it is not! Always came in handy to quickly get ‘canned’ messages out on website fields and replies and all that.

Chrome Web Store recently errantly flagged it as malware. That’s since been remedied. Subsequently, there was a glitch where chrome disalbled it stating “Warning! Your shortcuts database version doesn’t match your extension version…” This is easily fixed: 1. Open the extension, 2. Click on “⇄ Import / Export,” 3. A text file appears with all your shortcuts. Copy it. 4. It’s recommended that you paste the text file onto a text editor so you don’t lose it. I didn’t, but it’s safer if you do. 5. Uninstall, then reinstall from Chrome Web Store, 6. Open the extension, 7. Click on “⇄ Import / Export 8. Paste your shortcuts into the text box that appears. 9. Save it. Scroll to the bottom of the page where you’ll need to save it a second time. 10 Make sure it’s turned on, and that you have it pinned to Chrome if you want to quickly add/delete shortcuts. 11. Enjoy

I love this extension! A few days ago, Google accidentally flagged it as malware and so I think it caused some issues and bugs to pop up, but I emailed them for help. They were super quick to respond (30 min!) and they fixed my issue super quick!

I love Auto Text Expander and have used it for the past few years. It never disappointed me and I continue to invite my friends with confidence to take advantage of it and expedite their work.

Ever since using this brilliant no nonse app I am the politest psychologist around. I started using it for the most simple expansions (br, > Best Regards), signatures and auto-corrections … now it expands 3 symbols to full letters explaining that I ordered a payment on this and that date using the possibility to include current date, text in copy memory, txt fields for personalization,… Excited that the app will be further developed! Thank you Harpaul ! Keep is simple!

I absolutely love this application. It is a huge timesaver at work. There was a brief moment when the app was taken down when it switched ownership but it is back up and running like new.
